Rollup-centric roadmap in action: Uniswap introduces Unichain L2

In a win for all rollup and appchain believers, Uniswap today launched the testnet for Unichain, its new L2. Unichain taps into the same benefits that have prompted so many other onchain apps to build their own rollups: Dedicated blockspace, lower fees, and better performance. Unichain is building on the OP Stack and joining the Superchain for native interoperability, and will also utilize Flashbots' new Rollup-Boost platform for TEE-based block building. We congratulate Uniswap and all the other teams involved in the launch, especially our partners at Optimism.

Conduit's guide to Arbitrum Stylus: What it means for rollups

Stylus can expand your rollup's developer talent pool by millions, supercharge its performance, and make new onchain use cases possible. How? By enabling developers to write smart contracts in Rust, C, C++, and other languages that compile down to WASM, rather than just Solidity. Those languages aren't just more widely known — they also make onchain apps more powerful thanks to WASM's superior memory optimization. And best of all, Conduit provides built-in Stylus support for all Arbitrum Orbit rollups built on our platform. Read the full blog here to learn more.

Azuki teams up with Flashbots, demonstrates power of TEEs with onchain magic show

Uniswap wasn't the only team to partner with Flashbots on a novel TEE-based use case this week. Our friends at Azuki, whose Anime.com experience we helped power with our partners at Animechain, did as well! For background, TEE stands for Trusted Execution Environment, and refers to a computing environment in which owners can set granular access permissions for specific users. Azuki and its resident magician Bobu used Flashbots TEEs to put on an onchain magic show, with tricks including tweeting from participants' accounts without logging in via onchain operations, all based on TEE permissioning.

More from around the ecosystem:

  • Optimism announced Airdrop #5, with thousands of addresses on Conduit-powered OP Stack rollups qualifying.
  • Proof of Play CEO Amitt Mahajan shared numbers that demonstrate the power of account abstraction on the team's flagship Pirate Nation game: Over 100,000 players have carried out more than 300 million transactions during gameplay without having to sign in their wallets.
  • Our partners at Orderly Network shared their token listing application. Applicants can get perps for their token listed on more than 20 DEXs powered by Orderly.
